Leaving Washington

We are headed for the Oregon border.  While climbing I had plenty of time to learn new things first in Oregon whenever I saw a road sign saying "Lane Ends" that means the downhill is coming. Yippee.
We met a sheriff in Washington who is a cyclist and has ridden all around California and other states. Stopped at a great place for lunch in Cathlamet, Wa. for lunch and when we were ready to leave the skies opened up. No surprise there. And then we rode our last Washington ferry the Oscar B to Oregon.
